KHS Newsletter - 4/26/24

Dear KHS Families,

We had a successful second week of state testing here at KHS. I wanted to inform you of a slight schedule change next week. We originally planned to run a Delayed Start 7 period schedule on Thursday, May 2nd. However, due some logistical considerations with the Middle School, we will be running a typical Thursday Delayed Start block schedule (periods 2, 4, 6). This will necessitate the need to run a Wednesday “Blue” block schedule on Monday, May 6th to keep all classes on track.

Next week all students in Algebra I, Geometry, and Honors Geometry will take their end of course test. Part 1 will be taken on Tuesday, April 30th, with Part 2 on Wednesday, May 1st. We will continue to run specific AP Bootcamps during testing next week. All other students not testing or in a Bootcamp can arrive at 9:50 am for first period. Next Friday, May 3rd, is our Junior/Senior Prom. There will be no school for students that day.

Looking ahead, AP testing begins Monday May 6th. Students who are taking an AP test will be excused from the rest of their classes on that day. They are welcome to still attend classes, but are not expected to.

It's hard to believe, but the next Newsletter I write to you will be in the month of May. Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Victor Puskas, KHS Principal
